EarthWorks Expo Returns to Denver in June

DENVER—Jan. 28, 2008—Denver’s largest green-living event of the year, EarthWorks Expo 2008 (www.earthworks2008.com), is returning to the Denver Merchandise Mart on the weekend of the Summer Solstice, Saturday and Sunday, June 21-22.   Major sponsors for the second annual event include Xcel Energy and AM760 Progressive Talk radio. The Mayor’s Greenprint Denver office and the Denver Office of Economic Development are also providing support.

With the theme of “Go Green, Live Well”, EarthWorks Expo provides local businesses and advocacy organizations the opportunity to showcase sustainable products, information and best practices to thousands of motivated, green-minded consumers.  An estimated 150 exhibitors, dozens of workshops, world-class keynote speakers and special programs for young people are included in the daily admission price.

“We’re planning this year’s event to be the most inspiring, informative and empowering sustainable-living event ever offered in the Denver metro area,” says Michael Lindemann, the Expo director.  “Those attending will be able to comparison shop across the entire spectrum of green products and services.  Everyone who attends can expect to leave with dozens of new ideas about how they can go greener and live better.”

Companies and organizations that want to participate in EarthWorks Expo as sponsors or exhibitors can visit the website for more information, www.EarthWorks2008.com, or call Lindemann at 970-416-8700.

The Denver Merchandise Mart is conveniently located at I-25 and E. 58th Ave.  Times for EarthWorks Expo are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 21 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 22.  Tickets will go on sale May 5, with daily admission only $8 for adults, $5 for seniors and $4 for youth.  Children age 12 and younger are free when accompanied by an adult.  Discounts for two-day admissions also will be available.
